What's interesting to me, is that there's no panliligaw stage here in the States. People just become good friends, then one day it gets unsettling to NOT know if you really are dating and whatnot-so two people sit down and talk about it, and 'label' themselves as each other's boy/girlfriends (whichever is appropriate).

actually, that's almost the way things are here now, i rarely meet guys who bother to go through the whole ligaw thing anymore. they just hang out a lot, then they get around to wondering if they're more than friends, yadda yadda. i think the only difference here is that they actually have to sit down and talk about it quickly because amiguities lead to confusion and a lot of problems...mahirap dito kasi hindi up front mga tao eh, ang gulo kausap, ayaw magsabi ng totoo kasi nahihiya or whatever kaya most of the time, you never really know what's going on.

Lester still sort of did that ligaw thing. He's Southern, so he's a little more traditional in that sense. People here in the North just...don't do that kind of thing. Ewan. Depends on where you are here in the states.
