I took about a gram of shrooms and finished my final paper for European History in six hours, including cigarette breaks and a movie. Then as I was finishing up the conclusion I double checked the time it was due and it turns out the essay wasn't due yesterday but today, so I decided to put off the bibliography until today. I took a two hour walk down rows and rows of houses out to the curve of the bay, following the sun, staying ahead of the rain clouds. There was wind. It was warm between the shelter of buildings, in the sun, sitting still on a bench looking out over wind-crawled waters. The right side of my body hurts a lot from coughing. There is fluid in my airways or something like that. I rattle very slightly when I take deep breaths. Deep breaths hurt.
