It's funny how I won't countenance moving to London or really, elsewhere in England, but I'll consider going back to Japan less of a big deal. Caught a couple of new (to me) zombie movies with Sorrel the other day, so updating my list. Return of the Living Dead was awful but kind of funny, I guess at least because it was meant to be a comedy, but I would have liked to actually see those 'zombie rules' in a serious film - "smart" zombies that can't be killed by destroying the brain, ( Read more... ) -

So the Tories ally with the Liberals, and Cameron gets in. Somewhat depressing, really. However, in the last few days I think I've gone from really rather hoping that somehow, we might pull a left-wing coalition out of all of it to the resigned realisation that this or a Tory minority was the most likely, and I'm now neither shocked or even that ( Read more... ) -

Finally got around to booking Tokyo this December (again. EDIT: OK, someone just mentioned the 'how to get a check' phrase, which is a bane to me whenever I'm in Japan. I remain convinced I knew how to ask for the bill some other way originally, though. I was probably doing it wrong. -
