My Mother's Message to the Newlyweds, Quentin and Ryan

Jun 06, 2005 13:45

"I got squash coming out of the ying yang and my creepers are takin' over the garden. This rain makes everything grow too fast."

My mom called me again while she was drunk. I got long rundowns on the state of her garden and the vagaries of the weather, the impending hurricane season and the poor state of the roads. ( Read more... )

*melts*

You were right.

You left and I mounted the campaign to go to the grocery store. Before that, we dug through the mountain of clothes to separate them.

Oh, it's taking forever
and I am SO tired
have been tired since 11
I am messing up my sleep schedule
i know it

but I hear my clothes in the dryer
I could fold clothes
and I should
but I remembered I needed to read this
and I wanted to hug your mother
throw back some brew
make stew out of her rapidly growing squash
and hear a message from her

"don't be bickering like other couples!" -- finer words never spoken.

Kris called me today and asked me if I feel different now as compared to when... you know what, Xandi? Yes. Yes I do. In a good way, too.

*giggles* I love singing to him. I love singing to him and him singing back to me.

Ya know, when you were here I was trying very hard to listen to your accent. Oddly, I didn't hear one.

AND! Where's the present? Hmmmmm?
