um...so i got another email with some really tragic news:

I write with very sad news. We have lost a member of the Johns Hopkins community. Gilbert Duvalsaint, a sophomore, died today at Union Memorial Hospital ( Read more... )

thats awful. and a little wierd..because we just lost a senior here at lake howell hs named Gil the day of a football game in the morning when he was on the way to school. he was riding a motorcycle and a truck hit him and killed him. =(

i heard about that.i was actually at home for the weekend when it happened. my first thought when it happened was "i know a guy named gil..." yeah so that is a little weird...

I'm really sorry about that :'( ...Someone I graduated with died at the beginning of this semester...which was really hard b/c I actually knew and talked to him...It was such a shock because someone I actually knew and was friends with died...growing up sucks. I wish we never had to deal with this, but unfortunately we do. It's crazy how many people seem to die at JHU though...:-/

thanks for your comment. it's amazing how death can put life into perspective. yeah gil was part of the biggest frat on campus and for weeks, they just stopped having parties and just got together and talked about all the good times they had with gil. it's really good to actually talk to someone who actually made it out! there are sometimes where i think it's not possible!
