satisfications of being a physician
The main satisfaction I hope to achieve as a physician is improving the lives of others. I grew up observing people, attempting to figure out how they live and interact. My constant state of illness has been elevated...
Dry, itchy throat... sinus pressure... coughing... stuffy nose....
What do I have? I'm baffled.
I slept from 2 to 8pm. I woke up to make dinner, and now I'm going to work on my med school app. Hopefully I'll find the strength in me to pass out again in an hour. -

Witnessed (I believe) a drug bust at SDSU today! At first I thought they had just pulled over a truck for speeding. But, they were there for at least an hour with the drug dog. Haha... wow, state.
Also, saw Star Trek last night. It was so good! Of course, it wasn't like the original, but I think it had the right feel for our time.

Odd people in the work place
Today, I encountered someone in building who went to the water and grabbed 2/3 cold water and 1/3 hot water in a small plastic cup. Now, I was a little confused as to why he would mix the waters? Did he want room temperature water immediately? Isn't that what the sink is for ( Read more... ) -

Guess who might have almost had MS or an aneurysm...!
So, a little over a week ago, I had a sudden onset of vertigo. Woke up Monday, and I was fine. Still, it was so intense and random that I decided to go to the doctor. Turns out I had viral labyrinthitis. Turns out I also had nystagmus (eye jerk)... but in ONE eye. An oddity. Got referred to the neurologist even though she didn't think I had MS ( Read more... )
