I was offered the promotion this morning! I accepted! I was never asked to provide references. In fact, when I received the phone call this morning, I thought I was going to be asked to provide them. Details about when I start are still TBD.

It's more than a little wild, and I'm still wrapping my head around it, but WHEEEE!!!!

What did I tell you darlin? Mikes luck never fails, even when he lends it to people! Even without it though you were WAYYYYYYY better qualified than the other slugs and a damn sight more personable and better lookin! If I could offer one bit of advice on supervising, whenever trying to get minions to do things always say something like " WE need to do________, could I get you to help me out?" and then if at all possible give them at least a start so they think you're right there with them. Of course this wont always work if you're snowed under wit your OWN work, but please and thank you work magic balm on those under you, moreso if they think of you as one of them instead of US vs THEM (or HER as it may be) ANyhow a big ((((HUG))))) of congrats and keep an extra chair in your new office so if I ever get by I can plop down and loaf and shoot the breeze...LOL
