Answer each question with two, and only two, words.

Got this from astaria51--and apparently missed the first question somehow )

Anyone know of cheap, decent webhosting? I was thinking of putting my fic somewhere, but I don't dig extremely complicated interfaces, ugly formats, or pop-ups.

Clearly, this is destiny. Earlier today I was working on the archive for my girlfriend's fic, and I thought "Hey, I have tons of unused webspace...maybe Nic would be interested in a fic archive for yeahchemical?" - I was thinking of something to host all the stories in the comm, but if you want, I would gladly host even your stories only, or in a separate subdomain.

Oooh! Archiving all the fic in the comm would be one hell of an ambitious project, but a cool one. And I would of course appreciate a place to put mine. It wouldn't all be bandom fic, though--it'd be anything I'd ever written, on LJ or off of it, so I knew where it was.

You are shiny.

I'd be glad to host that, really. If you want to write me an email with the details of how you want it, I can start working on it as soon as I'm done with the first one.

As for the comm archive, I think we'd have to use a script for that...something along these lines, that would be helpful to find everything quickly. If you think that the thing is doable, maybe we could start asking people in the comm if they'd like the idea/would have anything against being archived there/would be willing to send us their stories without having to hunt them down through memories?

*is excited*

I think I have your email saved, but I'm not sure--what is it?

It's totally doable, I'd love to have a searchable archive for the comm. Of course it makes the comm somewhat less exclusive to have all the fic accessible, but hey--fewer applications to turn down and fewer lurkers to boot! :)

I come up with ideas for six epics before breakfast, and suddenly my BRAIN IS JUST DEAD. Not that I have to worry about it immediately, but Jesus.

I'm sure there are lots of people willing to share their webspace with you for free. Myself included.

Wow, very cool offer. I'm embarrassingly ill-informed about how to go about such a thing, but I suppose the only way to learn is to do it.

You know, I too asked the webhosting question. If you don't mind almost year-old answers, here's what people said then. Wow, it's been a year? Shit, I should get on that.

I have tons of space on my website should any of the other hosting offers not pan out, just let me know and I'll hook you up.

Well--I meant, like, I've never actually put anything up on the web before. So I don't know how to do it. Heh.
