What really happened to Mikey at the Paramour? (I wanted to just know what happened but then I needed a character... and it seemed pretty clear that it was Mikey who really couldn't handle the place.)

I'm assuming this refers to something canonical, but I've been slacking on my MCR canon of late. Too many other things to track. :(

Oh, yes.

Bascially-- it's been said by the band that the period of recording was "really dark" and emotionally difficult for them. Well in some interview Gerard basically said it was depression, but for whom he wouldn't say, and that they were all stressed out because the atmosphere of the Paramour was really draining and he was having horrible nightmares and seeing things and blah, blah. Apparently during this time, while all of them were holed up in the place, just kind of wasting away, Mikey couldn't stay and ended up staying elsewhere with Alicia. So it's supposed that the one with the major issues during recording was him. But yeah. They crazy.

Getting the hell out of the bus and away from four other guys and their sock smell and their hair-filled brushes and their softly squalling iPods and their chatter and the french vanilla air freshener he would never pick if it were up to him. Getting blood back into his legs and air into his lungs and relishing not being recognized by anyone, a luxury not afforded anyone else in the band. Memorizing faces he knows he'll see three rows back at their show, screaming and jumping and sweating. Reconnecting with why he does this. Checking out hot boys and keeping track of who looks back.
