I'm on the market for a bike too and I'm looking at Trek's. One thing I dislike is you have to wear a helmet. Boo...

well, the salesperson at the bike shop said that helmets are legally required for those under 18 and highly suggested for those over 18....it's not the most flattering thing perhaps, but at least it'll keep me from cracking my head open when i'm going kamikaze down a hill or something.

Where did you buy the bike? I've been looking into one as well. SuperGo seems expensive and Sports Chalet doesn't have a great selection

We bought them at Helen's Cycles. There are a few of them in the West L.A. area. The one in Santa Monica is the biggest store and the salespeople are great and very helpful and not out for a profit.

Sweet ride! I went biking this past weekned with mis padres from their house to the beach, the pier and back! It was a workout, so much fun, but my ass is hurting since I haven't gone in so long. O, you're not out of shape, at least you're good at hiding it! :)

omg!! that totally reminds me of my banana bike....purple and pink tassles....big flowers on the seat....*sigh*...good times...now THAT's what i'm talking about!
