so when salmon are old and know when theyre about to die, they swim upstream to lay their little salmon eggs. they fight and push and when they finnally get there, they lay their eggs and then its their time to go. but if halfway up the stream they realize they dont want to swim upstream any longer or they physically cant, they turn around and swim
