Day 2 with iPhone
I am no devotee of Jobs--yet--bit I do believe they're on to something here. What the iPod did for music the iPhone seems to be doing for phones. It just works, and works well. Even the third party aps work very well for the most part. I've developed a slight addiction to the iTunes ap store and so far all but 2 have performed at least as well as ( Read more... ) -
New toys
Here goes yet another attempt to make writing easier. Just have to get the hang of the touchscreen keyboard. More soon.

I woke up this morning to the post-verdict discussion concerning the Sean Bell trial on the Brian Lehrer show. Brian’s guest, a former cop and current professor of law at John Jay was explaining that while the incident was tragic the laws of New York State are clear on what constitutes self defense for police officers, and, had this professor not ( Read more... ) -

Alternet has dubbed Obama the consensus builder. That is a bit premature since he can't even build a consensus in the Democratic party. Reasonable arguments from worthy people notwithstanding, my doubts that he's electable shrink with every passing day and every traditionally Blue State loss. Garden: Day 3
Up late after a long night at the rejuvenated Supper Club, I've noticed that tiny fuzzy sprouts -- tiny white legs reaching downward -- are beginning to emerge from some of the seeds that were exposed by the soil moved by the initial watering. Zeke wants to be a farmer...
Today on a whim I decided to plant a windowsill garden. I planted two kinds of tomatoes, two kinds of cucumbers, dill, arugula, and bell peppers. It is my understanding that I planted a bit late in the year to expect much from my seeds, but perhaps they will grow.
