Well, the cold I got from "It From the Pit" (The androgynous freaky thing from the Doolin hostel that was hacking up a lung in my dorm) just got worse and worse. Dublin is truly a fantastic city. It feels like a carnival here all the time. There are street performers everywhere. Last night I saw a guy play the fiddle by holding a bow between his legs with the hairs facing up, turning the fiddle upsidedown, and running the fiddle over the bow. The trip is coming quickly to a close, and though I've had a wonderful time I'm not sorry to be coming home. Cork city is actually quite an ugly place and I don't much like it. It has two postively filthy rivers running through it (even grosser than the Detroit River) that have discarded garbage and shopping carts in them. Killarney is also full of pubs and a few nights ago I went to one of the best music sessions I've been to yet. The accordian player studies traditional music from the area and at the end of the night gave me a copy of the book he wrote on two very famous fiddle players.
