Last times with the Yarns

I know it's been so long since I updated! Blarg! But, other families in the neighborhood contracted the annoying ever spreading flu, thanks to the Yarns. I had to play a full rotation of all my other houses (22), which took a looooong time. I think I've finally kicked the flu, though I'm not convinced as Wisteria has the amazing ability of catching the flu just walking around the house by herself. Plus, RL was totally busy. ANYWAYS ... I did finally managed to sit down and write this update. SO, on we go - 49 pics under the cut/link :)



*A disclaimer* According the the awesimsauce rules, the purple generation are supposed to become witches/warlocks as teenagers (or adults). My purple generation however will not, because I do not have Apartment Life (the expansion pack that included witches/warlocks). While their special ability was not intended or planned as a replacement for being magical witches, it does add a bit of special-ness and magic to their generation, no? This is one of those situations where I follow the rules except where I can't. :D Enjoy!*



Huckleberry continues his interest in other planets and space travel by spending some time with the telescope.



Scuba returns from work one day and promptly grows old. Into awesomely inappropriate and funky clothes. (well, I guess the shorts are blue ...) Don't worry I send him clothes shopping :)



Huckleberry continues his quest to impress me and pick him as heir by making a group meal of hamburgers (and not burning them!)



Since he kept rolling 'get a kitten or puppy' wants, I finally caved.
Animal Drop Off Lady: Hi! Your new kitten is waiting outside!
Huckleberry: Oh boy! *squees*



Everybody, meet Galaxy, Huckleberry's new bestest friend (or at least Huckleberry hopes so)!



He got a promotion! He's now playing on the local minor leage team. I don't think he's going to be a Hall of Famer at his age, but at least he's chasing his dreams!



And he invited Rinnah over. She was that first match the matchmaker gave him a long time ago.



Oh, and they're falling in love. :)
Scuba & Rinnah: *smooch*





The Yarn house becomes the hot teenage hangout. There's all sorts of meeting, greeting, and tossing of roundish objects. But where is Huckleberry? Selah is here, he greeted her enthusiastically! But where did he run off to?



... oh. Painting, with Galaxy.



Scuba continues his awesome treasure hunting. (Seriously, how many pirates buried their treasure here?)



Rinnah: ooooh! Shiney! Scuba, can I have some?!
Scuba: *continues digging*



... and he continues his treasure hunting fail :D You win some, you lose some.



Selah Marie: You know Wisteria, that report you gave at school about robotic elephants picking bananas? That was so cool!
Wisteria: *gladly accepts flattery*



Wisteria: It was awesome, thanks for noticing!
Selah Marie: Yes! *is pleased she impressed her boyfriend's sister*



And Wisteria takes her turn gazing at the stars. She even earns money for discovering an undiscovered star!
Wisteria: Ahhh yes, Star Wisteria. How lovely.



With the money from the treasure chest (and star discovering) the Yarns do a little remodel. A secret passageway was added to the back of the house.





The twin's bedroom was expanded to include this 'learning center,' especially for Wisteria.



They also uncovered their door, since Huckleberry in particular wanted Galaxy to be able to access their room.





In the space between the secret passageway and the rest of the house there is a small garden, with a hammock, flowers, and evergreen tree.



One of these days I should just give a tour of the whole house, but this will have to do for now.



Huckleberry: I loves you soooo much! *snuggles*



Indeed he does. In fact, he loves Galaxy so much, that he brought him to school!!! (Thankfully the little kitten didn't get too hungry or in need of his litterbox while visiting school. Huckleberry brought him home safe and sound.)





Wisteria *pretends nothing happened* La te da! I'm just painting! I didn't just get electrocuted trying to fix the radio, I'm too smart for that!



... while Huckleberry admires himself in the mirror. Again.



Huckleberry You know, I think I might move into the city when I grow up. I could make lots of friends and get a really good job.
Wisteria: *eats dinner and continues pretending she's not all scorched*



And we all know that scrubbing toilets and making them bubbly is lots of fun! Wisteria spends lots of time cleaning, not only does it help her earn those very desired skill points, but she also thinks it's fun! She does it autonomously! Those aliens must be super duper neat creatures, because they sure didn't get that from Scuba!



And she can also finally do Yoga! Here she is practicing her poses (and blocking the refridgerator).



Huckleberry makes more Chicken Soup, as the flu has not yet left the house. ><



Oh! And Galaxy grows up! Isn't he just adorable?!



Galaxy: *revels in big cat capabilities* Mmmmm, pancakes ....



Huckleberry: YAY! *loves teaching Galaxy tricks*
(Here he's teaching the cat to "Come Here" when called.)



And Wisteria does more Yoga. Shouldn't all that relaxing and concentrating on her body help her recover from that flu? And keep her body healthy?



Scuba: O dot O! SO GOOD TO SEE YOU!
Rinnah: O dot O! I SO AGREE!

Yes! Welcome to the house of the flu! Please go spread it to the rest of the neighborhood when you attend birthday parties! That'd be SO GREAT! >.>



Huckleberry: *loves cat*



Wisteria's friend Gordon: Hey! Your daughter invited me over, where is she? *munches grilled cheese sandwich*
Scuba: Uh, at school. What do you want with my daughter?
Gordon: I want to be her bestest friend ever.



Scuba: Well, you'd best prove yourself. Only a capable, hard working guy is deserving of my daughter.



Gordon Whatever it takes, I want to be hers for evers.



Then Wisteria (and Huckleberry) came home from school ...
Wisteria and Gordon: *become best friends*
(Do you see that hint of pink behind the best friend smiley face? Wisteria totally has a secret crush on Gordon - not that it will stay secret for long, she does have a tendency to say whatever she wants...)

Gordon: Ha! Take that! I am her best friend now!
Scuba: *walks away*



Gordon: So, how you been? I haven't seen you in like, forever! I'm so glad you invited me over!
Wisteria Yeah, you know. I've been busy ... reading. *really wants to kiss him*



Wisteria: I'm going to kiss you now.
Gordon: Oooh? Really? You want to kiss me? That is so hot!!



Wisteria: Mm, I have wanted to do this for so long!

And just in time too, the twins are almost adults! Next time with the Yarns - Wisteria and Huckleberry become adults, we get rid of the flu for good (I hope), and a bunch of other stuff I don't know yet because I haven't played it yet!
