I haven't been on the ball with posting lately, very very busy. So last week was baronial Investiture. It was very fun and good to see so many friends.

I finally got to wear my whole Burgundian outfit, complete with tall trunkaded hennon. I think it came out quite nicely.

    Finished yet another shield. This one is for mr_cvb. It is based of a 15th century painting of St. George br Friedrich Herlin. The design features include a depiction of a knighting chain based on the chains worn by the members of the order of the Golden Fleece in the 14th and 15th centuries, and the knightly virtues painted in a font based on ( Read more... )

Half way done with the new kirtle. I ran out of black thread and deeded to buy more.
Half way done with the new cap.
2 new chimeses that all the need is the seams to be neatened.

I finished making a lovely 15th c. brass buckle for my over gown. It measures 4 x 11 cm. I had to make one for myself because i couldn't find any being sold ( Read more... )

I just finished reading my copy of a small  autobiography  by H.R. Giger. He is i think one of, if not my favorite artists. So now I'm very inspired to start some backup work for uni. I'm thinking for Jewellery prodominantly. So i've jotted down some ideas that came to mind upon brainstorming, and i'm going to do some research and designs later.

Today I incresed the 20-20-20 workout to 30-30-30's and now my legs are like jelly.

I keep attempting to get more out of my day by waking up at 6am, but i keep turning off my alarm and then logically thinking "I don't really need to get up" and sleeping until 9. Grrr. This happens when i'm not at uni, when i actually have a set purpose for getting ( Read more... )

            Saturday was the "Picnic on the Green" event which consisted of village cricket, a rapier championship and a heavy tournament. It was a very fun event! Unfortunately due to my ethnic heritage (being American and all :P) I'm not the best cricket player, nor do i really understand the game, but i gave it a go lol.
