so not terribly much is going on. my parents visited a few weeks ago, and they got me in such a "fixer-upper" mood that i've been doing lots of the little tasks around the house to try to fix it up and make it feel more like home. i haven't gotten to any of the big jobs, yet, like painting, but i've done little things here and there like hanging ( Read more... )

i've been really busy lately with all the fix-it projects i've had in mind for the apartment. why have a nice apartment if you're not going to decorate it so it looks really nice? also, we're going to have guests in a few weeks, and i want to fix it all up before then. ;) so all the boxes except 3 are unpacked, and those three will be taken care ( Read more... )

so a lot's happened in the past week. last last friday was my last day at work (technically, since i'm still on vacation time), and we spent the weekend finishing our packing and so forth. we were up bright and early on monday for the movers, who took 4 hours to completely pack the fragiles and clear out our stuff. we dropped off my car, ate ( Read more... )
