A while ago, I was considering buying a Lego model Taj Mahal, but I was worried that it too was pricey and impractical. Instead, I decided to get a cat, a decision that is much more financially imprudent and who is much less practical than a large plastic model of a famous monument (even one made up of tiny pieces that can snap off and get lost ( Read more... )

I want that Taj Mahal! :) In a recent post, I just talked about wanting some other Lego figures, like a Lego Rockefeller Center, White House, and/or a Lego Frank Lloyd Wright Guggenheim/Fallingwater. That Taj Mahal looks pretty cool, though it doesn't look like it's available anymore (or available in the US). The Tower Bridge model looks pretty cool, too...

Sigh, yes, I think Lego only keeps big models like that around for a few years at most, a policy that doesn't work for procrastinators like me! There aren't any current sets that are pulling at my heart strings, although I have noted that the Tower Bridge model has a red double-decker bus, which is pretty awesome.

You might have compromised by constructing a cat from legos or a Taj Mahal from cats…

er... I have some, I'm just have a bit of difficulty working up the motivation to get them off the camera and then on to the internet. See procrastination comment above.
