Ella turned one on Saturday. I cried. I cried on Friday too when she took her first steps. I also cried when I got a letter from daycare saying she was transitioning into the toddler room. Prior to this weekend I couldn't tell you the last time I cried. This whole parenting thing has turned me into one big sap.

I'm home sick today! So it is a nice morning to sit at the computer and just send out a little update. Things have been pretty calm and consistent though which I enjoy. 2008! Wow. The good news is that I've always been a fan of even numbers so I think 2008 is going to be a good one. I am going to have this year be the year we do nothing. So today I accepted a new job at Travelers. It is in a different division of the company, so it will be very new for me because I have never worked outside of Personal Lines. It's a pretty steep drop in terms of title - I'm going from an Assistant Director back to an Analyst. It took me seven years of insurance experience to not be an Analyst ( Read more... )

So today was Ella's 2 month appointment - I can't believe she is two months old already. The poor baby had to get three shots - she screamed and mom almost passed out. But she's been sleeping for 2.5 hours and looks as comfy as can be. I'm still wishing for a cocktail ( Read more... )
