giant was the first place i started. it is also where i got the gross bread. their selection isnt good by any means, but its something. ive found that wegmans has a better selection (half an aisle!) and better prices, which surprised me.

true. wegmans has the best wheat-free selection ever. they even have crackers. oh and thai food is a good substitute for chinese, you just have to make sure theres no soy sauce... and prolly make your own sauce so theres no gluten. stay away from any type of rice bread. its awful and thick and hard. there was one loaf of bread that was pretty good, but you have to eat it fast or it will go bad. i cant remember waht it was called tho, ask mom. um... eyah oh and theres pretty decent brownie mixes at wegmans... try those. there're a little oily (if i remember right, but still good).

i couldnt remember what the 'good' brand of mixes were, so i didnt get any, but apparently pamelas and the gluten free pantry are pretty good, which are sold at both giant and wegmans. i wish wegmans were closer, i really like it. i just never went bc i figured it was more expensive but its actually cheaper than giant. which is strange. the bread i got is millet bread, whatever that is. i made grilled cheese w/ it last night and it was ok. not great, just ok. i think the bread you liked was spelt, which i cannot have bc it has gluten in it. it is wheat free though so i guess thats why mom thought you could have it.

tj's also has a fair selection of wheat free stuff and i'd bet it's even cheaper than the other places you've tried. worth a shot at least. and they have pretty tasty rice crackers there too.
