It feels really strange to not have visited Seattle at all this Summer. I love that city, and I miss all of my friends there. I still have beaucoup vacation hours accrued, so I'll have to take a week and go down there after fall semester is over. That would be fun, especially if I could bring Shane! I want all of my Seattle friends to meet him. -

It's really interesting how much has led up to this trip. I'd never been to San Francisco before, and yet I had dreams about being in the city for several years. I often wondered why this was. So I've come to realize that I have some very deeply-seated abandonment issues that have been coming to the surface every Monday morning when Shane leaves to go out in the field for work. We just got a new roommate. The last one was a friend of mine who I really, truly thought was a responsible, driven person. He certainly does seem to present himself that way. Looks are very often deceiving, though. He got a really great job that he was thrilled to have, then only a few weeks in, got fired because he forgot to attend a ( Read more... ) -
dream shift
During the summer, I usually have school anxiety dreams where I'm back in highschool and trying to find my way around. Last night, however, I had that same dream, but it was the newer building that my highschool is now in (they knocked down the old building and built a new one a couple of years after I graduated ( Read more... ) -

The other day, Shane and I were talking to a friend about how we're different and/or the same. He described himself as being "like a fly, flying into the window over and over again," while I'm the one just sitting there, shaking my head, saying, "HEY! There's a window there."
