That awkward moment where it's suddenly snowing again and everyone is cold so you all decide to pile into bed together, except now the bed is altogether too warm and you're left wondering how badly your wife will kick your ass if you happen to accidentally shove her brother out or something.

One will never know precisely how little sleep one can survive on until they are tasked with raising an infant.

I ended up taking care of Grace the most in her earlier months-- on the nights I wasn't out working late, I didn't sleep soundly anyway, and it was easier for me to drag myself out of bed than it was for Cassie or Vincent. It was worth it ( Read more... )
