Kinda like 'yay;' different beginning and ending, but the same result.

Very lovely update. I especially liked Aoshi's reaction to hearing Megumi's interview, and the way you are hinting at her past. Heh, and his reaction to the way Kenshin came in -- fantastic.

And Megumi's slapping Kenshin was well worth waiting for.

* happy sigh * So nice to Zai updated. So much happens in this update; we get to see Chou and Kamatari, Megumi's interrogation with Aoshi's insightful commentary on the side, Kenshin's arrival...."typical rurouni fashion" someone else said. I really admire the brisk, efficient pacing of the story...no unnecessary details here.

Feels like you are getting into the groove as you proceed; the first major paragraph feels a wee bit stiff (maybe it's how you use the full name Sagara Sanosuke instead of Sano?) but then both the sentences and the details begin to flow more and more smoothly. I know how tough it is to come back to something after a long time, but you've done a great job...I hope the momentum keeps up!

Yay for continuing on this story! :D Megumi here kicks ass, I like her past connection to Sumimoto, I'm sure that'll come up again ;) This perhaps did feel slightly forced in some spots, but overall it's great, and I LOVE that last line there. Hehe oh Kenshin, what did you do?

So happy to see that you updated! I was getting very worried...

And it's good to see someone smacked Kenshin (as Kaoru isn't is such a good state to do it now). :)

...not I think I need to reread this story, it's been so long...
