you're not the first, though. it's actually austrio-german for heroic, referring to the efforts of napoleon bonaparte in spreading the humanitarian ways. the piece was renamed eroica after napoleon, discarding his ideals, named himself emperor napoleon i. the title was changed from bonaparte to be slightly more fitting in its sarcasm.
