Student Nationals 2010
Last year was RAWSOC's first venture out to the Student Nationals. We did pretty well for our first outing (2nd in the Quiz, nice but no points; 1st and 2nd places in True Random, 1st place in Science Fiction, and the Good Sportsmanship Award, overall coming 8th out of nearly 30 teams, some of which were considerably larger than ours ( Read more... ) -

Scam email spotting
It amuses me sometimes to have a little look in my Spam folder and look at the emails that claim to be genuine to spot those little tell-tale signs that give it away. Look to the Skies!
With the volcanic ash still grounding air traffic, of one thing I can be thankful: that I did not stubbornly choose to fly to Edinburgh for the forthcoming Student Nationals this weekend. Grr. Batteries!
Wft!? I charge up some rechargeable batteries to replace those in my cordless keyboard (because I keep getting a pop-up every other bloody keystroke telling me the batteries are running low) and they don't work!
