I am trying to keep my head above water at work because, as usual, it's insane. Nothing too out of the ordinary other then the same daily chores compounded by a million other little things that loom over my head. And by this I mean dating. Looks like I might have lucked out and found a guy that wants to stick around. I am cautiously optimistic since I seem to like him as well. More on that soon.

What a weekend...
Did a quick last minute trip to Busch Gardens this weekend. Nice thing about the trip is that the 85/95 corridor rest areas all have Live Wire Mt Dew. For those not in the know, this is a classic orange Mt Dew that is not bottled in North Carolina or most of the rest of the US. I went and got tested for HIV this morning. The local Aids Alliance did the rapid test for free. I wasn't too worried about the results simply because I am smart enough to choose partners wisely (when I let them get that far), and play safe. Guilty as charged.
I apologize as I didn't think of posting that I'm ok after the stampeding of tornados through the Raleigh area over the weekend. We had hail at the house (which kept setting off my car alarm annoyingly). There was also a good bit of heavy rain and wind. Yeah, it's a bit delayed. I swear that I've been meaning to post forever. The trip was amazing, the weather was perfect, and the city was both accommodating and beautiful. I do have a big Portland post on the way. I just had to post a couple observations. First is that I've seen 4 Justin Bieber haircuts tonight. Even more surprising is that only one was a lesbian.
Second is that it's just wrong to remix the Golden Girls theme into a dance song. Just saying

Having a great time here so far. The last two days have been some of the prettiest weather the city has seen this year. Work/ life balance?
It's a big mantra at work. At least it used to be a big mantra at work. Basically, if you can accommodate the stuff that comes up in peoples life and the work is getting done then all is well.
