I spent the weekend with Adam's family. It was nice to get a better understanding of Adam's life by being where he's spent so much of it. I couldn't stop thinking in amazement about "this house smells like him" or "he went to this school for three years..." he grew up so differently than I did. Apparently the only long weekends that will ever exist are the ones that I don't spend with Adam.

I hate feeling like things are unresolved. Even though I know everything will be okay I still hate this feeling.

My mom gets her CT scan results interpreted today and I'm worried about that too.

All in all today was not a good day to get out of bed and I celebrated that by staying in it an hour past when I actually woke up.

Everything in my fishtank is dead/dying (including algae and bacteria!). I don't know why and it is seriously bumming me out ( Read more... )

The sooner I go to bed the sooner it will be tomorrow.

My favorite patient is getting worse. He went from a diagnosis that would have only involved some antibiotics to one that now involves a liver transplant. He is so jaundiced that his dark skin is a bright yellow. So are his eyes.
