I haven't posted in almost a month, which is a fantastic thing. The services in January went off without a hitch. The approach was incredibly stressful, but seeing how many people there were at each one, and hearing from so many about how wonderful they are made all the stress worth it. So tonight I heard that a friend mine's grandmother died recently. Suddenly, unexpectedly and at an inopportune (sp?) time. This is the FIFTH person this has happened to since dad died. I'm fucking sick of it. People die all the time, I get it. But this is all sudden bullshit ( Read more... )

Christmas went mostly ok. I wasn't nearly as sad as I thought I'd be. The whole thing mostly felt just, weird. The whole day felt like there was just a piece missing, which obviously there was, but it was such a different feeling than sadness or unhappiness. Today was Christmas Eve, and it was actually a pretty good day. I made it to work at a semi-normal time for the first time in well over month. I was only 5 minutes late!
