I will have to retaliate with shots of my own miniature fugitive from the '60s. It's pretty much the same tree, but mine is silver. The ornaments are mirrored balls in a range of colors. The garland is green, glittery pom-poms strung together.

I think you and I may be simpatico in more than just music preferences, my friend.

I just always wanted something crazy and weird. My mom is really traditional when it comes to trees and I knew I wasn't going to have a real Christmas this year, so I decided to just spend like, $20 on crappy Christmas decorations.

Now I need some nog!

Awesome! That's like the Christmas tree from Ugly Betty.

It is! I am like Hilda. I always wanted a pink tree. And now that I have one, I'm like "Woah. Fug." Now I want a Gio under my tree. It's a mini-tree, so he'll fit perfect!

Don't smoke anywhere near that thing. Or put cheap sparking lights on it.

$4.94 is a big investment! Our tree last year was free: because we took it from a doorway of a business that had closed for the holidays, where it had been dumped with a note saying it was free to anyone who wanted to take it. Who could pass up such an excellent offer?! No matter that it was BROWN AND DEAD.

I won't put SPARKING lights on it, but I'm afraid sparkling lights have already made their way onto it! I have to take pictures. I found a string of purple lights.

Can you imagine how ugly the 94 cent tree was? It wouldn't have held my jingle bells! Hey, brown and dead can be festive! Stick a popcorn-cranberry garland on that sucker and it's a party!

Well, it's nothing if not festive. :) How tall is it? And most important: What does the Chairman think of it?

I really like tinsel trees, although I've only ever had real trees (I just love the smell so much). Tinsel trees are just so retro and populuxe. I'm also of the opinion that ANY tree at all looks fabulous once it's got lights and decorations on it (even baggy's dead brown tree...).

How about a lucite tree?

Wow! That IS quite the tree! I was going to go really minimal and buy a wire tree with pearl beads and just leave it. But I like putting crap on it too much to do that.

The tree is just little. Like, 24 inches. It's a Chairman-sized tree. Which is all too evident. He's up on the table every five minutes. Luckily, I put jingle bells on it and can hear him when he gets into it. I put tinsel on it at first. Huge mistake. Tinsel + Cat = Terrible. The tinsel went in the garbage. :(

Nah, that's not the ugliest tree in the world. In college, my roomate brought in a tumble weed that happened to be blowing past...and decorated it with tinfoil. It was pretty awesome.

I hope your cat doesn't chew on the lights.

Haha! Tumbleweed Tree! Such a Saskatchewan Christmas!

The cat has so far, ignored the lights. He's more interested in the glue that keeps the mini-bows together.
