I am listening to Goblet of Fire during my commute. I know I've mentioned this before, but really... Hagrid's parents. I still just can't... understand.

I have to wonder if J.K. Rowling was able to write that history with a straight face.

There's a short story by Charles Bukowski entitled "The Fuck Machine," where a woman somehow shrinks this guy and uses him as a dildo.

This reminds me of an old black and white (I believe French) film where a guy is shrinking for some reason I forget, something to do with modern living, and ends up killing himself by crawling into woman's...well you get the picture...

LOL! Yes, the concept of Hagrid's parents always gave me pause. Especially when Hagrid was describing his father to Madame Maxine. I mean...how in the world?
