“Junsu?” Yoochun breathed from their shared bed, dark eyes clouded with a slightly troubled look.

“Yeah?” Junsu responded softly, his eyes never leaving the screen of the small TV that was located on their dresser.

“When you…” Yoochun trailed off, seeming to struggle with himself for a moment, “In the hospital…did you really mean those things you said?” His voice was a strained whisper, his eyes already cloudy from gathering tears.

“Some of it.” The smaller man responded absently, his voice failing to hide the ting of pain that lurked under his words.

“Did you mean it when you said you didn’t care about anyone?” Yoochun dared to ask the question that would probably bring him more pain than any of the others. He couldn’t help it, he wanted to know if he was simply clinging to the shattered remnants of a past love.

“At the time, yes.” Junsu knew his words hurt Yoochun, but he wasn’t willing to sugarcoat his answer. This was just the way things were with them now.

“What about now? Do you still want me to go away? Do you want me to stop dragging you behind me?” His watery eyes were locked on the back of Junsu’s head, as if this simple act would make his husband turn around and face him. He wanted so bad to reverse time and change the way things had played out. He wanted to go back to a time when his love for Junsu, and Junsu’s love for him, had been something pure. Now it was tainted by unvoiced accusations and nagging fears. They didn’t trust each other anymore, didn’t have the faith to confide their troubles to one another.

There was a long sigh from the other boy, his shoulders slumping as he turned his head and met Yoochun’s gaze, “No. I don’t want you to leave me.”

Something in those words made Yoochun feel as if Junsu was indulging him, speaking the words he wanted to hear so that things wouldn’t become even more stressed and complicated.
“What happened to us, Junsu?” Yoochun breathed, the first tear trekking down his cheek.

“The baby happened, Yoochun.” Junsu responded easily as he moved from his spot on the ground to sit on the bed, his eyes still locked on Yoochun’s teary ones.

“Is it really the baby, though?” Yoochun found himself questioning. His insecurities and misplaced doubts were beginning to warp the way he saw Junsu. Every time the younger male shrugged out of his embrace or let go of his hand, Yoochun saw it as being pushed away, rejected time and time again.

“Why don’t you just come out and say whatever it is you’re thinking?” Junsu finally sighed, his dark eyes looking resigned as he waited for his husband’s explanation.

“I’m thinking that you haven’t loved me for a long time, Junsu; I’m thinking that you wouldn’t be with me if the baby wasn’t here to tie us together.” Yoochun fought back the surge of tears, trying desperately to maintain the same kind of indifferent front that Junsu had mastered.

Junsu didn’t say anything for a moment, his dark eyes thoughtful as he gave Yoochun a long stare. His own doubts and fears seemed to be playing out in his expressive eyes, dancing across the glassy surface like a flickering fire on the verge of dying.
“I love you. I know that I love you.” His words hung in the air, leaving both boys perched precariously on the edge of falling into their own secret hate and jealousy for the other.

“What do you want to name the baby?” The topic of conversation was switched, but the doubts and fears still lingered within the gaze of both boys. They both knew they could run from the truth, but it would catch them eventually, tying them both down with brute strength until they finally addressed the situation.

“I’ve always liked Julianne for a girl…maybe Young-Jae if it’s a boy.” Junsu offered the names in a rather flat voice, his dark eyes staring intently into Yoochun’s, as if saw some secret message there. Something Yoochun didn’t want him to see.

“Both of those sound good to me.” Yoochun responded softly, turning his gaze away from Junsu. It seemed as if Junsu’s gaze was too heavy to hold. It probed too deeply, cracking through walls and finding out those dark secrets he’d buried at the bottom of his heart.
“Did you enjoy your visit with Super Junior?” He questioned, wanting desperately to get his mind away from the baby and away from the relationship that was shattering ever so slowly.

“Yeah, it’s nice to see all of them again.” The usual ring of excitement was absent when Junsu spoke, his voice sounded flat, as it had since the day he’d found out about the baby. It was funny how something that was supposed to bring happiness, would probably be the biggest factor in tearing him and Yoochun apart.

“I remember the first day I met you…” Yoochun trailed off, wanting to remember the way things were with Junsu in the beginning. He wanted to remember those awkward silences and bashful gazes that had enveloped them during the beginning of their relationship.

“I remember, too.” Junsu responded after a moment’s pause, his eyes shimmering with a gentle look as he reminisced.

“When I first heard your laugh…” Yoochun trailed off, an involuntary smile pulling at his lips as he remembered how that shrill tone had rung in his ears for hours afterwards. “And then I remember how you couldn’t seem to sit still. Always moving and fidgeting. I wanted to tie you to a chair so you couldn’t move. I guess that wouldn’t have stopped you, though.”

Despite his feelings of depression, Junsu found himself smiling along with Yoochun, his eyes glowing as he watched Yoochun’s face come alive. It made him feel better when his husband looked happy and carefree. It made him feel like less of a burden.
“When I first saw, I remember how you looked so depressed…I wanted to make you happy.”

“Psh, you always want to make sad people happy, Su.” The pet-name rolled of his tongue as easily as it ever had, giving him a familiar feeling…a feeling of security.

“But you were different. I really wanted to make you happy, Chun.” Junsu whispered as he moved forward until he was curled easily against his husband’s shoulder, a soft sigh escaping through his nose.

“You made me happy, Love. You made me the happiest man on earth.” Yoochun responded softly, his cheek coming down to rest on Junsu’s mop of mahogany-colored hair.

“What about Jaejoong and Yunho hyung? Do you think they’re going to be okay?” The small boy asked in a voice already muffled from sleep.

“Of course they are. Jaejoong and Yunho are both as stubborn as a mule, but in the end they both love each other. I’m sure everything will be fine for them.” Yoochun sighed as he felt a sleepy haze falling over his body, lulling him gently into the dream-world.

Within minutes both sleep depraved boys were comfortably sleeping within each others’ arms, sadness and doubts banished for a short time.

“Can I talk to you for a second, Changmin?” DBSK’s leader questioned the younger male as he walked into the kitchen, eyeing Changmin’s sitting form.

“Sure…” Changmin trailed off and glanced at his watch, “ah, time’s up."
Yunho rolled his eyes at Changmin, letting out a good-natured sigh as he slouched into one of the kitchen chairs. “Could I have a few minutes, then?”

“Don’t see why not.” Changmin shrugged before he turned back to his bowl of cereal and commenced eating once again.

“Gosh, you’re so rude.” Yunho shook his head as he watched Changmin slurping the last remnants of milk from his bowl.

“There’s nobody here that I need to be polite for…” Changmin tapered off, glancing about the room as if looking for someone, “If this is too much for you,” he gestured to his breakfast bowl, “then you can come back later when the scene is a little less gruesome.”

Yunho let out a grunt through his nose, eyes narrowing at Changmin’s sarcasm. “And to think, I came here to apologize.” He shook his head as he crossed his arms over his chest, hands resting on either side of his bloated belly.

“I was wondering when you were going to apologize for not paying me back last Tuesday.” Changmin shot back as he relaxed into his chair, hands connected behind his head.

“…What?” Yunho’s brow furrowed as he shot Changmin a bemused look.

“You barrowed money from me and never paid me back.” Changmin explained in a tolerant voice, as if he were speaking to someone much younger than himself.

“I’m talking about when I pushed you.”

Changmin sat and stared at Yunho for a moment, his face devoid of all emotion as he contemplated his leader. “…so…you’re apologizing for shoving me?” He questioned as if he was uncertain, one eyebrow arched slightly.

“Yeah…I’m really sor-” Yunho was cut off when Changmin suddenly burst into a fit of laughter, his hands coming over his abdomen as he literal shook from his mirth.
“What?” Yunho asked, suddenly angry at Changmin’s flippant attitude. He viewed yesterday’s incident as a serious matter and he wanted Changmin to look at it that way as well.

“I can’t believe you just apologized for pushing me! That’s so girlie!” He let out another barking laugh before he began to help himself to another bowl of cereal.

“It’s not funny, Changmin, you could have been hurt.” Yunho fired back, his face looking slightly annoyed as he watched Changmin laughing.

“Hyung,” Changmin began, setting down the milk-jug and turning to look at Yunho, “all you did was push me out of the way. The one to be blamed is the idiot who had his feet stretched across the entire floor.” Changmin ‘hmphed’ before dipping his spoon into the bowl.

“I think it was Yesung.” Yunho found himself replying absently as he thought over what Changmin had said.

“I’ll keep that in mind.” Changmin responded from behind a mouthful of cereal.

“So no hard feelings?” Yunho finally asked, large, liquid-brown eyes fixing Changmin with a sorry expression.

“Yes, I will forever blame you for shoving me and you’ll be lucky to ever get my highly sought after forgiveness.” Changmin bit back, his eyebrows arching as he gave Yunho an amused stare. “Of course I forgive you, Hyung. Why would I harbor hard feelings for such a petty incident?” Changmin sighed and muttered something about people underestimating him before he returned to eating.

Yunho had been about to say something when his cell phone buzzed on the kitchen table.
“This is Yunho.” He answered the phone, his face concentrated as he listened to the voice on the other end of the line.
“Yeah, Junsu is supposed to go in for an exam today…” He trailed off, the fingers on his left hand tapping against his bottom lip in an action that looked like something Jaejoong would do.
“What?” Yunho asked in a confused voice, his brow furrowing at the words he was hearing, “I think Jaejoong knows how. But…what about…” Yunho sighed, “yes sir. Five O’clock, got it. We’ll be ready.” He didn’t so goodbye before closing the phone and tossing it onto the table with a glare.

“Where are we going to be at five?” Changmin questioned, eyeing Yunho’s dejected expression with a look of interest.

“Parenting class.” Yunho muttered, his glare staying firmly in place as he spoke.

“Oh such perfect blackmail!” Changmin crowed as he began to laugh once again, his head lolling back and his eyes shut as he pointed towards Yunho with a mocking finger.

“You’re not going to be there to see anything!” Yunho fired at him, his dark glare intensifying.

“Psh, like hell I’d be caught there.” Changmin turned serious, arching one eyebrow at Yunho as he spoke.

“Caught where?” Jaejoong’s melodious voice question as he strolled into the kitchen, Junsu and Yoochun trailing behind him.

“You and I, and Junsu and Yoochun have to go to parenting classes.” Yunho stated in a bland voice as he crossed his arms over his chest and pouted at his phone.

“What?” Yoochun nearly dropped his coffee cup, just managing to catch it before the delicate glass hit the ground.

“Parenting class.” Yunho repeated, his facial expression unchanging as he spoke.

“Why?” Junsu cut in, seeing as how Yoochun’s jaw was hanging on the ground and would do absolutely no good in asking questions.

“I don’t know! It’s just a baby, how hard can it be?” Yunho turned to look at the other three males, his eyes still holding that unhappy gleam.

“How hard can it be? Have you ever even changed a diaper or fed a baby, Yunho?” Jaejoong cut in, his eyebrows arching as he wrapped his slender fingers around his warm coffee mug.

“…no…” Yunho ‘hmphed’, refusing to let Jaejoong ruin his bad mood. “But don’t you know how to do that, Boo?”

“No. Why would I?” Jaejoong fired back, seeming slightly offended at Yunho’s implication.

“You grew up in a big family, surely you know how to change a diaper.” Yunho reasoned with a bob of his head.

“You forget that I was the youngest, I’ve never even come close to changing a baby’s diaper.” Jaejoong’s nose crinkled as he spoke, a sign of his displeasure at the idea of changing diapers.

“Then I guess we have to go.” Yunho sighed, his lower lip jutting out as he turned around to glare at the table.

“I think it’ll be fun.” Jaejoong interjected in a slightly excited voice, “It can’t hurt anyway. Better to be bumbling fathers that have some clue as to what they’re doing.” He added with a shrug before taking a sip of his coffee.

“Junsu has to go in for an exam first.” Yunho added, turning to offer Junsu a smile, which the younger male returned weakly.

“What's this one for?” Changmin questioned as he tried to remember all the times Junsu had been to the hospital in the last two weeks. It seemed that DBSK was spending more time in the hospital then they were at home.

“Ultrasound and a general check-up.” Yoochun responded as he popped two pieces of bread into the toaster.

“So does that mean that you’re going to find out if it’s a boy or a girl?” Changmin questioned again as he poured himself yet another bowl of cereal.

“If we want to, yeah.” Junsu responded as he took a seat across from Yunho and rested his arms on the table.

“Cool.” Changmin bobbed his head, casting a glare at Jaejoong when the older boy made a move to take away the cereal box.

“Ever heard of sharing?” Jaejoong snapped, his grip tightening on the cereal box.

“No. That word isn’t in my vocabulary.” Changmin shot back as he tugged on the cereal box, eyes narrowed in a glare as he fought for the upper-hand.

“Well it is now. Give it to me.” Jaejoong growled, trying to jerk the crumpled box away from Changmin’s firm grip.

“No, I never get enough to eat around here.” Changmin growled back, his other hand coming out to grab the abused box.

Jaejoong braced his foot against a chair, his left hand coming out to join his right in the tug-of-war for the cereal box.
“That’s so not true, the rest of us stay so skinny because you eat everything before we have a chance to get to it!”

“Both of you stop it!” Yunho snapped, already irritated about having to go to the stupid classes. “Give Jaejoong the box, Changmin.”

Changmin abruptly let go of the box, sending Jaejoong backwards to land on the floor with a loud thud.

“You little brat!” Jaejoong jumped up from the floor and tossed a fistful of cereal at Changmin’s head, his eyes narrowed in a dark glare.

“I know you are, but what am I?” Changmin fired back, sticking his tongue out at Jaejoong.

“That’s a good question! What are you?” Jaejoong trailed off when he realized he wasn’t holding the cereal box anymore. “Where…?” He jumped slightly when he found Yunho standing right behind him, cereal box clutched tightly in his left hand.

“Find something else to eat for breakfast.” Yunho growled as he stomped over to the pantry and shoved the cereal box back in.

“Humph.” Jaejoong stuck his tongue out at Changmin before striding off to make himself an omelet.

“Children.” Changmin sighed as he shook his head, glare still fixed on Jaejoong.

“You wanna start something, little man?” Jaejoong growled as he turned to face Changmin, red frying-pan clutched in his right hand like a weapon.

“Oh, I’m so scared! What are you going to do, bludgeon me to death?”

“Good idea!”

“I swear, if I have to tell either one of you to shut-up one more time!” Yunho growled, leaving his threat hanging in the air.

An angry silence fell between Jaejoong and Changmin, both boys facing each other with dark glares, neither one wanting to look away first.

“Jaejoong...” Yunho warned, stepping in front of Jaejoong, only to have the smaller male standing on tip-toe to glare over his shoulder.

“That’s it, breakfast is over! Everyone is to be at the front door and ready to leave in twenty minutes!” Yunho growled, taking the frying-pan away from Jaejoong before he stormed from the kitchen.

“Good job, idiot.” Changmin growled at Jaejoong in a whisper.

“I refuse to talk to the child with a stunted vocabulary!” Jaejoong fired back in a miffed voice as he turned his gaze away and lifted his chin slightly.

“So you’re going to stop talking to yourself?” Changmin smirked, just managing to duck before a piece of toast hit him.

“Ya! That was my toast!” Yoochun growled at Jaejoong, his eyes locked on the bread that was lying on the floor…butter-side down, of course.

“Just make another one.” Jaejoong growled before he stormed from the room.

Neither of the boys were really angry at each other…minus Yoochun (he was really hungry). Jaejoong and Changmin were known for getting into fights over petty things. Neither of them would remain angry…at least not for too long.

The hospital room’s white door creaked open, admitting the elderly doctor and a female nurse.

“Good morning to the two of you.” He smiled, dark eyes twinkling as if he knew some great secret. His weathered face bore the signs of the years passed, with wrinkles etched deep within his papery-skin. Those lines around his eyes seemed to lift and spread further every time he smiled, which was usually very often.

“G’morning.” Yoochun and Junsu chorused together from their spot by the examination table.

Everything seemed calm, save for the slightly worried look Junsu was trying to hide behind a friendly smile. Yoochun saw it, his heart twisting painfully when Junsu refused to trust in him. Yoochun was there to be Junsu’s support, but it seemed that his support was unwanted.

“Anything bothering you, Junsu?” The doctor questioned easily as he pulled on a pair of rubber gloves with a crisp ‘snap’.

“No.” His voice quavered slightly and his fingers curled around the tip of Yoochun’s, his eyes still seeming slightly calm.

The touch made Yoochun happy. When Junsu curled his hand around the tip of Yoochun’s fingers, the older male felt as if he was experiencing a taste of their old love.

“Ah, I see we’re set for an ultrasound today, no?” The doctor muttered as he glanced over a clipboard nestled in the crook of his left elbow.

“That’s what we heard.” Yoochun responded, not wanting Junsu to force himself to talk. He could tell that his small husband was scared. Junsu had never really liked hospitals, and now he was having an ultrasound taken…something he’d never had done before.

“Well then, if I could just get you to hop up here.” The doctor patted the examination bed absently before turning to the nurse and asking her to have the equipment brought over.

She replied with a curt ‘yes sir’ before breezing out the door and down the corridor.

“How have you been sleeping?” The doctor turned a questioning gaze on Yoochun, one eyebrow lifted slightly as he stared at the younger male with a soul-piercing gaze.

“Pretty well…” Yoochun trailed off, eyes flickering towards Junsu for a split second before resting back on the doctor. He didn’t want Junsu to know that he hadn’t been sleeping well, or that he was the reason for Yoochun’s lack of sleep.

“Ah, that’s good…” The doctor bobbed his head before turning to glance over his clipboard again.
“So how are you two feeling about the baby?” The doctor questioned as he marked something on a paper then set the clipboard down on the far side of the examination room.

“We’re excited.” Yoochun half-lied, not wanting the doctor to know the problems between him and Junsu.

“Ah, well you’ll now find out whether you’re getting a boy or a girl.” The doctor gave a good natured laugh as the ultrasound equipment was rolled into the room.

Junsu let out a soft breath before he leaned back on the examination bed, his hands crossed over his swollen belly.

“Don’t worry about a thing, Junsu.” The doctor placed a wrinkled hand over Junsu’s petite ones, his kindly eyes sparkling once again. “It doesn’t hurt a bit…just a bit cold.” He assured as he began to busy himself with getting the machine ready.

While he was doing that, a nurse came forward and lifted Junsu’s shirt over his stomach, exposing the rounded flesh to the cold air.

Junsu shivered before reaching out and intertwining his fingers with Yoochun’s. His nervousness was clear on his child-like features now and his palm was sweating slightly within Yoochun’s grip.

Both boy’s watched as the doctor rubbed a gel on the tip of the instrument and then proceeded to run it slowly along Junsu’s abdomen.

The TV-like screen seemed fuzzy, giving only a blurred view into Junsu’s stomach.

At first, Junsu couldn’t see anything, and despite himself, his heart pounded at the idea of the baby not being there. He’d gotten so used to the idea of a small person living within his body, it seemed almost painful to imagine him without his child there inside him.

“See, there’s the head.” The doctor pointed to a blurred ball on the screen as he ran the instrument around Junsu’s belly.
“Well would you look at that!” The doctor gasped, eyes growing large.

“Finally!” Changmin groaned as Yoochun and Junsu walked into the main reception area. “I didn’t think you guys would ever be done!” He already has his bag packed and was shuffling towards the door in an antsy fashion.

“They were only in there for an hour.” Jaejoong pointed out as he stood and walked towards the two. “So, is everything okay in there?” He asked as he rested his hand on Junsu’s stomach.

“T-They said….” Yoochun trailed off, his eyes glazed as he stared down at Junsu.

“What did they say? Is something wrong with the baby?” Jaejoong asked, immediate concern welling within his body.

“Babies.” Junsu muttered, his face looking slightly shocked. “It’s ‘babies’.”

“Babies…” Jaejoong trailed off, his eyes growing larger as he realized what Junsu was saying. “Are you freaking serious?” A large smile cut across his face as his eyes lit up with a joyous expression.

“We’re serious.” Yoochun responded, his own mouth flickering upwards as the reality of it all hit him. He was going to be a father of twins!

“No. Fucking. Way!” Jaejoong was nearly jumping up and down as he pulled Junsu into his arms, a happy laugh soon following.

“I can’t believe it…” Changmin sighed, shaking his head slightly, “two more of you running around is the last thing we need.” He joked in a good-natured fashion, a teasing smile pulling at his lips as he walked to join the group.

“Congratulations.” Yunho breathed as he gave Yoochun a firm hug, a happy smile alighting on his own face.
It seemed that this was the first time in many a month that the Dong Bang boys had simply had cause to smile until their mouths hurt. It seemed like the first bit of news that made the entire group happy. Hopefully things would stay that way.
