Jeb leaned forward as the door opened and Wyatt came around the table. He threw a quick glance to the other men in the room and leaned toward her when she stopped at his side.
"Wyatt..." The girl knew she wasn't supposed to interrupt meetings. Of course, the guards also weren't supposed to let her through the door.
"Mommy said tell Gibbs 'Max' and then tell you 'don't freak out'," the five-annual-old said quickly. Jeb wanted to laugh as Max was the guard at the door and 'Gibbs' was the word DG had picked for emergencies.
DG had insisted there be a safeword, in case Wyatt needed to get to either of them while in a meeting. She had made a comment about it being a 'thing' on the Other Side, though reserved more for strangers.
She'd also mentioned something about rainbows and a small horse.
Jeb pulled Wyatt a little closer. "Wy?"
"Mommy has a tummy ache. Told me to come and get you." Jeb leaned back slightly. No wonder DG didn't want him to freak out. Pushing back in his chair, Jeb stood and picked Wyatt up.
"Gentlemen, I believe that Her Highness is having a baby, so, if you'll continue without me..."
