One more day...
Well, tomorrow is our last day with Henry's sleepover. Like any grandparent, I think he is awesome, but more than that, I am SO proud of what a nice youngster our daughter is raising. He has not once cried or asked for his mom and dad. He talks about them in a balanced way. they are on a trip, and they will be back soon, he says. She has prepared ( Read more... ) -
Henry sleepover
Today we picked up Henry for an extended sleepover...till TUESDAY! His other grandparents have and him since Thursday when Steph and Steve took off for their FIRST TRIP since Henry was born, nearly 3 tears ago. They are in sunny Mexico!

I found this arial picture of MY sand dunes on our Local promotional marketing website...I love it! Its called Sand Tracks. If you look on the top right hand side by the dune lake..that's where the parking lot is...(you cant see it)...I climb that dune, then head south...come up a steep dune between the tree line, that is a super steep hill up, ( Read more... ) -

The wind started howling about 5:30 a.m., which mean dogs start stirring...our house is VERY tall and the wind and my bedroom are very together in letting me know that we have a tall house. One week post 'Mom'
Just a quick post, as I'm feeling like I used you guys and then dumped you when it was over...but I haven't dumped you all. really I haven't. I think of all of you every day...how you ALL helped me thru a very very hard 37 days...I can't say thank you enough...but really..

The day after
I feel like I'm skipping out on work today. I'm so used to getting up, showering and heading to the Nursing Home that I feel like I'm playing hooky...finally.
It has been a loooooong 37 days, and I'm glad it's over. I was very sad to say goodbye, but it was even sadder to see her deteriorate every day. I'm sad that we couldn't help her pass sooner ( Read more... ) -

Day 36
Am TOTALLY AMAZED at our bodies. An 87 yr old woman can live with just food and a TINY bit of applesauce for 36 days. WHOA. yes, our bodies are amazing, never under estimate their power. Wow. She still hangs on. Wow.
