We're doing ok for now.  Just very busy.

I learned yesterday that a different relative (out of state) has been identified for Ap...  It looks promising, but interstates always take so darn long, so she will probably be here for a while.  I don't mind, she is such an easy going little girl, but she needs and deserves a permanent home and I hate to ( Read more... )

LIfe is a whirlwind...but I wanted to take time to document all of this.

We have grown to a household of 5 girls and one boy, plus two parents.  Ages 21, 18 (boy), 12, 19 mon, 17 mon, and a child age 16 chronologically but 5 mentally.

My poor little baby was soooo sick last night.  She threw up and threw up, like a grown-up - not just baby spit up.  I felt so badly for her.  She stayed awake most of the night, just looking at me with these big sad eyes and with a little sad frown on her lips.  She finally slept soundly from about 5 am until now.

I guess it's human nature to care what others think.  But why worry about the thoughts of those whom you don't even like or respect?

I procrastinate yet again.

The babies are in their cribs talking to each other.  Just baby talk, it's so cute.  Gives me a little time in the morning because they amuse one another.

Nateefah put weight on her feet yesterday when we held her in standing - a first for her!  She kept clapping for herself.  Rob commented on the shape of her head.  It is very flat in the back, ( Read more... )
