Not only is it her fault that I have an LJ and have all the wonderful friends around the world, but she's now donated £ 10 million to a new research facility and MS clinic. I only know that she was very happy with the proposal (orwhatchamcalit), so now I'mm off to try and find out more. At least they're going to focus on regeneration.

So, just a quick message to say that I've got an appointment with a neurologist next Friday. And the nurse who set up the appointment was sorry she didn't manage to find a slot sooner "but at least you get an awesome doc. He's really good." That's ok, I really don't mind. I've been to a Doppler scan. It took a long time, the good endocrinologist (who has to be the brother or other relative of my former doc, because I finally remembered his first name - and they're not the same) went back and forth, and I was lying there on the bench wondering what that deep furrow between his eyebrows meant. Today it's 80 years since Fridtjof Nansen died at his home Polhøgda, today the home of the Fritjof Nansen Institute.

According to this poll, cited on Mashable, 10% of under 25's think it's ok to text while having sex. And 6% of those above 25 think it's completely fine, too. Really? While having sex? Becase, in my book, having sex means making love, and there's no room for a mobile phone in that scenario. To me making love involves a 100% focus on my partner ( Read more... )
