Left alone with nothing but my thoughts,

Haunted with cold pain that only exists

among the darkest of nights,

I clench my eyes shut hoping when I open

them my thoughts will have vanished,

But it’s no use,

Those same thoughts linger above my head

for eternity,

My warm tears begin to fall,

My hand trembles as I reach for the key to meet those

tasks that ugently plead
completetion not in question
on oposite sides of acknowledgment
satisfaction solitary humiliation
justice isn't blind, only mute
a wisper worth an hour
a deviation of distance worth my life
if eyes could scream
he'd hear my desperate patience
always, just this once
the smiling tombstone of the never ending morning

plotting and planning a future of dreams
as streaks and shrieks fill the air
roaring strings filtered and forged
rock 'n roll, in all its glory
nightmares bring memories of fear and loss
on that day, at your funeral
a slaughtered friend, a rejected invitation
on that day, your death was a lifesaver
