I went to see "Avant que j'oublie" yesterday - as the films I wanted to see this week, are sitting on some dusty shelf somewhere. I don't know what to think about this film. I didn't dislike it, but with Jacques Nolot, for every moment of profoundness there are about 20 minutes of tediousness to sit through. It's the kind of film I would have ( Read more... ) -

The weekend, much like the week has gone quickly. Yesterday evening: Huit Clos at the Théâtre de la Ville de Paris in Montmatre. stalker_p managed to get good tickets because someone who works there had tickets to go to it, but as France won against New Zealand they changed their plans and wanted to see the rugby instead. A dumb week - and a welcome weekend
The week has consisted of counting down to the vacations really - and I'm disappointed that the vacations are only 10 days.
I went to the MK2 Gambetta last evening to see the Simpsons to find that they only have the French version playing there. I saw 2 days in Paris instead ( Read more... ) -

A few Antonioni et Bergman retrospectives being planned around the world, no doubt. And they'll always be with us, as their art has made them immortal, but my sincerest sympathies and heartfelt regrets nevertheless and so forth.

My eyes require Life to let me see.
At work this week, as I looked at my computer screen, I felt like a cat. A cat looking at a compter just before being crushed under a car while crossing the street later in the day. Looking through it's eyes, and suddenly OFF. Lifeless and semi-integrated into the asphalt. I felt that at any moment, someone would switch me off and the computer ( Read more... )
