I've seen several anime and music Memes going around, so I thought I'd track down a book meme and give it a shot. This version has been cleaned up and tweeked slightly. I do promise to try and get to all the prompts, but I don't promise to be every day about it. As always, feel free to comment or steal as you like.

Dark sarcasm in the classroom
Oh gods I feel like a teacher 8O
I've managed to land a gig teaching Spanish to a half dozen home school students once a week. It's about normal as money goes, but it gives me classroom type experience with young children and that is not to be sneezed at. The upshot is I needed to make up a syllabus to outline my goals/expectations for the course ( Read more... ) -
At least jot a few things down
On the new business front- I've gotten my bank accounts sorted out so I can start collecting receipts in the hope of making most of my life tax deductible. Or something.
On the writing front, I've been making steady progress, though I'm not sure how close I actually am to that elusive "done".

When I grow up...
The New York times just ran an article about people in their 20s being in a state of "emerging adulthood". This is something like a transitional stage between being an adolescent and being an adult. It's brought on by several things, including kids moving back home when faced with a bad economy. A lot of what they're talking about reminds me of ( Read more... ) -
Feel the word
Figured I should update this to let on how things are going.
So far I have about 4,200 words of my MoR entry typed up- that's about 6 and a half pages. I have another 6 pages of notebook writing to type up. And by type up I mean re-write and expand upon. Or cut down. Or whatever needs to happen to turn notebook ramblings into a coherent story. ( Read more... )
