Today is my last full day in Africa. It couldn’t be more perfect. I slept until 11:30am, woke up and ate a nice breakfast. Then I joined Lorena and Paula sun tanning on the deck. The other 7 volunteers headed to Durban for this weekend, which left just the three Canadians hanging out at Klipkop. And Paul, the head guy when it comes to fires on the reserve, was away for the weekend so Deon was on stand-by for that position. This past weekend Adam, Andrew, and I had Friday and Monday off so we took off for our long weekend in Durban. What an incredible place…one of the most beautiful cities I have ever been to, mainly just based on the location.
