Either way, it's brilliant. And I guess poems and songs are basically the same thing, aye?

Aww this was such a lovely poem!
It brought a tear to my eye
When I began to read it, I had to turn my music off so I could read it properly

I loved how you used descriptive language that enabled the reader, i.e me, to envision the surroundings of the persona.
