I inaugurated the grill today. I let a filet marinade overnight in a mix of A1, spicy pepper oil, garlic, red pepper, and cinnamon. I may need to play with the proportions a little bit in order to get that kick I was going for, but it was de-freakin-licious ( Read more... )

Some of the imagery captured in the lyrics reminds me of Southwest Virginia. As much as I didn't like E&H, I did like the area and the people. Many days in my cubicle, I find myself wanting to go back.

Sunday! Sunday! Sunday! U.S.-Canada redux.

I am by no means a devout hockey fan, but I do enjoy the sport. I'm watching the U.S.-Canada game right now, and it is some DAMNED fine hockey.

1,687 pictures taken from my front porch. The battery would crap out every three hours-n-change, then take two hours to charge, so unfortunately it's not the whole blizzard. Still kind of fun.

Nothing kills your morning spirit like forfeiting a straight, a flush, and a three-of-a-kind in as many consecutive hands.

Lame.

I watched "Twilight" as commentated by RiffTrax. It made the movie just bearable, and ridiculously funny.

Every year should be brought in with laughter.
