Had a nice weekend in Portland with Shawn. It reminds me of Oakland - the peeps at least. It's nice to be able to see Shawn play out to a crowd that's really appreciative of the music and not just there to "be seen." Seattle is lame like that. Looked around at some houses there, too. So I've been thinking of taking a certificate program at the UW Extension to become a paralegal. The worst part about this story is that the one officer reloaded his weapon and fired a total of 31 times - at people who were not firing back at him!! I can understand a policeman returning fire when fired upon, but what I don't get is why these guys kept shooting. pissed off
Lili told me last night of an incident in which her teacher grabbed her face and shook her head back and forth because of a math problem that Lili did incorrectly (she answered it correctly, but didn't show her work). I am so incredibly pissed off about it and want to kick her teacher's ass. Lili said that she is not the only one this has happened ( Read more... )
