Star Trek DS9
Syfy in the UK is repeating Star Trek Deep Space Nine from the beginning. I remember thinking, when I first watched it, that it was the best of the Star Treks. It's only now that I'm watching it again that I realise just love great it is. -
Supernatural
I was really enjoying this latest episode, right up to the last couple of minutes when it suddenly became all about Sam. Again. Why on earth couldn't they have written Dean as the big damn hero for once? Or even written it so they could each have won a trial. Aussie Cricket Commentators
Aussie cricket commentators are just as annoying as English ones! They seem to be inventing a new version of English. I'm watching highlights of the second one day international between Aus and WI; Darren Sammy took a great catch and the commentator screamed that 'he's absolutely smoked that'. History and Archaeology
It's been confirmed. The remains found buried under a carpark in Leicester last year are those of King Richard the Third. He was the last Plantagenet king of England and the last king to be killed in battle, at Bosworth in 1485. An amazing discovery. -

RIP Tony Greig, 66 is no age at all these days.
I hadn't realised how good a cricketer he was. Such a shame that his Test career couldn't be prolonged but recruiting for Packer was always going to end his England tenure. -
The Hobbit
I went to see the Hobbit yesterday, with my brother. I really enjoyed it, although I agree with those who think it was a bit too long. There was one scene I could have done without, although my brother pointed out that kids would find it funny. I'm honestly not sure what could have been cut to make the film a more manageable length.
