So I'm slowly learning more about the very confusing manner in which South Korea is organized. Within the country, there are 9 provinces, 6 metropolitan cities, and one "special city" (Seoul). From what I can figure out, a metropolitan city behaves in a similar manner to a province, in that its autonomous from the provinces. Also within each ( Read more... )

But you all already probably knew that. I managed to injure myself 3 times in 2 days. Friday I had to teach an extra class on the 7th floor so I took the stairs up since the elevator takes forever. I feel like some stuff is finally getting done around here. Jonathan and I went to immigration today to get our registration cards made. When I got here, Jackie told me we'd go in about a week so last thursday or friday. So I had my first day of classes today and it went really well. I have 2 main groups I'm teaching right now. A group of 3rd year students before lunch and a group of 1st year students after lunch. So I've actually ventured beyond this immediate area the past couple of days.
