I spotted Offspring by Jack Ketchum in the book rack at Giant Eagle. I recognized its name from the glowing review from Dread Central, and it had some great quotes on the front, so I picked it up.

Things I've learned since yesterday:- LibraryThing is awesome.
- I have a lot of weird books that nobody else does.

Watery
I went to see Lady in the Water last night in the cheapies. I love the late showings; you come out at midnight, it's dark and empty, drive home with your head full of the movie and go to bed still watching it behind your eyelids. In children's publishing news...yesterday in the grocery store I stopped to see what was on their paperback shelf. They had Keys to the Kingdom, some non-RLS thing called Kidnapped, and a lot of lame stuff...I looked back at Keys. Its cover price was $2.99 ( Read more... )
