I know - I know I'll regret asking this, but isn't carrying a bottled fetus in front of an abortion clinic the equivalent, both morally and in effectiveness, of carrying a horse's head on a pike around a racetrack in order to protest animal abuse?

I'm truly sorry you were imprisoned with Gilligan's Island fans. Nobody deserves that.

Ann, Ann, Ann, don't you understand the difference? You see, the aborted fetus had already been murdered by that graceless reprobate who had chosen to murder a helpless child rather than face the shame owed her by her act of faithless fornication for which I am certain she will burn in HELL. But, you see, the Lord works in mysterious ways and that is certainly the reason the corpse of the aborted fetus made its way into our friend amenlover's hands, for then it could be put to the Lord's work in educating other faithless whores who might be considering abortion.

Not at all the same situation. Don't you see?

...good to have you back, amenlover!

And, see, there you've gone and added another question! Where in heck do you even get a fetus in a jar?

Since amenlover is, and it pains me to say so, incapable of growing one of his own, and in our society one doesn't get things like this without money changing hands somewhere, doesn't ownership of such an item mean participation, however at a distance of both time and money, in the action one is protesting? And if one considers a fetus to be the moral equivalent of a human being (something implied in the action of protesting abortion in the first place), is one not obliged to give the poor pickled sprog a name and a decent burial rather than profane it further by parading it about in such a fashion?

Besides, it's icky.

I'm just asking, is all.

on a little more serious note... ladyfirebird January 2 2002, 14:12:24 UTC
i'd visit these schools and hand out mind-opening tracts in hopes that i might reach a few before the brainwashing process is complete.

True Christianity does not involve brainwashing, and Christians in general are not brainwashed lemmings. I'm sorry you feel we are, but it's clear from this statement that you are badly misinformed about our faith.

And participating in such activities makes you no better than the rabid fundamentalists you are trying to defeat.

I'd be interested in talking to you about such a ministry. :-) E-mail me. Here's a link to an essay I wrote regarding the error of Christian conversion that you might appreciate:

Btw, this LJ and amenlover's website must be sarcastic jokes...I'm sure he can't be serious.

i think you need to have other things in your life, amenlover. you're very obsessed about religion. take a break once in a while. not even churchgoers are as obsessed as you are. do you have a life? do you even masturbate?
