The blizzard in Indiana has apparently made international news. Eva, who just got back from a week's vacation in Hungary, just told me that she'd seen/read about the Indiana weather in Hungarian TV/newspapers.

So, my host mother is essentially an aristocrat left over from the Austro-Hungarian empire. She and her husband are both Hungarian, as is their housekeeper. Clearly, they are *loaded* with cash.
