Hope everyone had a happy, safe New Year. Ours was farily uneventful. Spent it hanging out with some family. My grandma was recently admitted to the hospital with what turned out to be a blood clot in her neck (which turned out to be a result of a drasticly enlarged thyroid on the opposite side of her neck). Last night, I had a dream that my Mom, Dad (who passed away when I was almost 16) and I went to the house of an old neighbor of ours when I was a kid. An Inconvenient Truth was released on DVD yesterday, so while I was at BestBuy picking up an Xmas gift, I snagged it and watched it last night. The movie is a documentary on Global Warming. No deep plot lines or character development, no explosions or frontal nudity...just a documentary, yet it still managed a 93% rating at Rotten Tomatos (136 ( Read more... )

Has anyone seen "Lucky Number Slevin" with Bruce Willis and Morgan Freeman yet? It has a bunch of other decent names in it, and I gotta say, I was pretty confused most of the time, but it all became clear at the end, and I thought it was awesome. I can't believe people are waiting in lines for days for this stupid PS3. The worst part is, the majority of the people waiting don't even want the game system, they're just hanging onto the promise of getting their money back five fold by putting it right back up on eBay. The more I think about the Jesus Camp thing, the more I want to rid this world of every extremist, radical group who's beginning and end is to seek out and manipulate those weak enough to believe their cause and destroy those whose views differentiate from their own. I guess that makes me no better then them, or Hitler for that matter.
