I think I might have found my next story. Due Thursday, so I'd hope so.

Hard Cheese for Henry
Henry was quite surprised when Martha killed him. Understandably so, really.

"I say," Henry said, "that wasn't very sporting. I do believe you've done me in with that one." He died. Martha replaced the shotgun and returned to her coffee.

Training bartenders are the devil. By which I mean, two black Russians in tall glasses and an old-fashioned glass half-full with a 'shot' of Jaeger and I woke up, curiously, on the floor of my bedroom.

So, turns out my Linguistics assignment is today, rather than the test. Ooops!

On metaphorical extension in idioms, which sent me looking at idiom websites. Found the following in an alphabetical listing of idioms, but it seems like a poem.

Turned in my two weeks today. I was not expecting that to hurt, but then it did. Dunno, there are people there I really love, even if I kinda loathe the work portion of it. Met some good people. Pretty sure this would have to be the most fascinating weekend of my life.
