I'll be having my root canal consult/procedure on Thursday at 12:45. Everyone think happy thoughts for me.

My dentist, Dr. Sumner, recommended someone who was right across the parking lot, so I just walked over and got an appointment. He also prescribed some Tylenol with codene for me. Yeeha.

My tooth/jaw has been hurting like a mofo lately; I went to the dentist last Tuesday for a cleaning, and they took 2 x-rays, and the dentist said he didn't see anything obviously wrong. But I have had pain in my jaw for the past week and for a couple weeks before that. I have to take Advil or Excedrin constantly or it hurts too much. Last night ( Read more... )

Well, turns out my check engine light was nothing. They checked the system and reset it but didn't find any problems. I received a wedding invitation in the mail today, from one of my 4th grade teaching colleagues. She taught next door to me for the past 3 years, and is getting married next month?!?! Today I ventured to the Prince William Campus of George Mason University, with about 40 other teachers, to score a county-given writing test. The prompt was, "Imagine you can be any animal for a day". Well, let me tell you, after 5 hours or so of reading fourth graders' essays, I do NOT want to read about a dog or a cat or a dolphin ever again. ( Read more... )
