En- Finally it snowed again in Annecy. I did a small hike in town and took some pictures. (The small bird on the last picture is a White-throated Dipper.)

It's spring time ! Spring Squills and Anemones are blooming in the woods. Cormorants are gathering vegetable sticks to build their nest. Marsh Harriers are back from Africa.

C'est le printemps ! Les scilles et les anémones fleurissent dans les bois. Les cormorans construisent leur nid, et les Busards des roseaux sont de retour d'Afrique.

In France, the second sunday after Christmas, we celebrate Epiphany, which is supposed to be the visit from the Magi to Jesus.  But for all children and bon vivants, it's especially time to eat what we call "la galette des rois" (kings's cake). Some weeks ago, we went to Bretagne, to visit our friend Nykko (Children of Elsewhere's storywriter) and his family. There is an island there I absolutely wanted to see : it's called Rouzic Island.
